Overview

YT Loop is a Chrome extension and web dashboard that lets you loop YouTube segments, save them to your account, organize playlists, and share selected loops publicly. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account information — When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, and profile picture from your Google account via our authentication provider (Supabase Auth).
• Loop data — Video IDs, titles, channel names, start/end times, loop names, playlist names, sort order, and visibility settings you choose when saving or organizing loops.
• Local extension data — Loops you save are cached in your browser using Chrome local storage so the extension works offline and loads quickly.
• Public share pages — If you mark loops or playlists as public, that content is visible to anyone with your share link.

How we use your data

• Authenticate you and keep you signed in across devices.
• Store and sync your loops and playlists in the cloud.
• Render your public share page when you choose to publish content.
• Operate and improve the extension and website.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

Third-party services

• Google — Sign-in only. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — Database and authentication hosting for account and loop data.
• YouTube — The extension runs on youtube.com pages to control playback. We do not send your YouTube watch history to our servers.

Data retention and deletion

Your loop and playlist data is kept while your account is active. You can delete individual loops and playlists from the dashboard or extension. To remove your account and associated cloud data, contact us at the support email listed on the Chrome Web Store listing.

Uninstalling the extension removes locally cached data from your browser but does not delete cloud data tied to your account.

Security

Cloud data is protected by row-level security policies in our database. Only you can read or modify your private loops; publicly shared content is readable by anyone with the link.

Children's privacy

YT Loop is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision.
